YOGA VAIDYA ŚĀLĀ - Therapist Training Program
The whole program consists of six modules of study and 2 weeks internship.
The duration of each module is 9 days (3 consecutive weekend)
Yoga Vaidya Śālā jointly with Yoga Therapy Egypt; offer unique Yoga therapy training program. It is an advanced course for all Yoga teachers from every tradition of Yoga. This course is an imperative adjuvant for all health professionals like Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Chinese, Siddha Physicians, Physio-therapists, Nurses, Massage therapists, Chiropractics, Occupational therapists, Psycho therapists, Acupuncture and Acupressure therapists and others.
It transforms all their healing endeavors into an individual specific and most comprehensive and wholesome one.
This course, for the first time in the history of yoga, presents Yoga therapy as it should be. The 6-modules program runs over 3 years, It elaborately deals with yogic anatomy, Yogic physiology, Yogic psychology, pathology according to modern science, Yogic methodology of examination and diagnosis, Yogic tools and its principles of application and so on.
Yoga therapy is a practical science and therefore the teaching methodology of this course is also entirely practice oriented and exactly following that of a medical college.
Yoga Vaidya Śālā invites all ardent and sincere seekers to delve deep into every facets of Yoga therapy directly under the guidance of Dr.N.Chandrasekaran, M.B.B.S., Viniyoga therapist Training Program is conducted in six modules, two modules in a year and session spanning for 3 weeks. This course is currently being conducted twice a year in France, London and Belgium, once every two years in Canada and every January in India.

Module 1. (March 2022)
VINIYOGA - Principles and Practice
Forenoon theory sessions:
1. Yoga and Viniyoga
2. Types of Viniyoga
3. Methodology in Sristi krama
4. Methodology in Siksana krama
5. Methodology in Raksana krama
6. Methodology in Adhyatmika krama
7. Fundamental principles of yoga therapy; The focus of Cikitsa
8. Basic concepts of yoga therapy
Understanding how to apply these concepts in the context of therapy with suitable practical illustrations/examples
Afternoon workshop sessions : Practical sessions
Principles and practice of observation of the individual ( adhyāya )
Observation of the:
Spine, Neck, Low back, Hip, Knee, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist joints, Ankle, Foot
In the afternoon, the first and third hour will be on studying the methodology of observation in a workshop manner. The second and the fourth half an hour section will be for the discussions based on observation done in the previous hour.
Each day, observation of one joint will be taken up and followed with discussion.
MODULE - 2. (October 2022)
Yogic anatomy, physiology, psychology and yogic methodology of examination
MODULE 3, 4, 5 & 6 will cover pathology and therapeutic yoga approach to various conditions and ailments affecting each mayā
MODULE 3. (March 2023)
Conditions manifest predominantly at the physical constitution ( annamayā ), related to Sapta - dhātu-s. ( Chyle, Blood, Body tissues including muscles, nervous tissue, bone, bone marrow, reproductive tissue ) Skeleto - muscular system, joints, digestive system, obesity, etc.,
MODULE 4. (October 2023)
PRĀÑIKA CIKITSA : (Vāyu dysfunction)
Conditions manifest predominantly at the Pranamaya constitution ( Pranamaya ), relating to respiratory system & Cardio-vascular system, Urinary system and Lymphatic system
MODULE 5. (March 2024)
Conditions relating to the control systems : (nādi-s, Cakrā-s Dysfunction)
Nervous system, Endocrine system & Reproductive system (including pregnancy - pre & post natal care)
MODULE 6. (April 2024)
MANO & ĀDHYĀTMIKA CIKITSA:
Mental, emotional conditions, malignancy, auto-immune conditions, eating disorders, addictions, geriatric care.
INTERNSHIP (two weeks)
· Learning through observation and interaction.
· Observation of therapy classes conducted by senior therapists
· Observation of consultation sessions conducted by senior therapists
· Therapy classes conducted by the student under supervision of senior therapist
· Consultation sessions conducted by the student under supervision of senior therapist.

Dr. N. Chandrasekaran, MBBS Dr.N.Chandrasekaran, M.B.B.S., is one of the world’s most experienced yoga therapist, a western medical doctor, international trainer and author. In 2010 he founded the Yoga Vaidya Śālā after more than a decade heading the Yoga Therapy Department at the Krisnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) in Chennai. In that role he conducted consultations with more than 15,000 students, with a wide range of health problems, prescribing individual practices for each. Dr N.Chandrasekaran (Dr.N.C.) has been a practising allopathic medical physician for almost thirty years and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga in 1990. From 1991 he acted as a consultant-teacher, and from 2001 held the position of Director of Therapy at the KYM. Dr NC’s experience in medicine and in the yogic healing process enables him to practice and to present an astonishingly effective blend of the western medical system with eastern traditional wisdom, helping people with a wide range of health problems.He has taught in numerous international teacher training and continuing education programs as well as training numerous senior yoga teachers in the specialised field of yoga therapy. DR NC has authored a series of books on the practice of Yoga Therapy that are are set to become a standard reference for serious practitioners in the area.

Nermeen, the telecom Engineer who has passion to yoga since she was 18. she is the first in the Middle East, earned 2 master degrees (4-Years Yoga philosophy and Practical teaching diploma; 3-years Yoga Therapy master degree), Now she is one of the most influential yoga teachers and therapist in Egypt and Middle East; she brought and represents the authentic Yoga and Yoga Therapy of Legendary Sri Krishnamacharya to the region.
Nermeen has been studying and teaching yoga and yoga therapy for past 15 years; she is authorized Yoga Teachers’ Trainer following Sri Krishnamacharya tradition; and Yoga Therapy from Yoga Vaidya Sala - Dr. N. Chandrasekaran, and Yoga Alliance Professional YAP
